This Fall, trial consulting hits bigtime TV! This webinar will review and provide talking points for ASTC members about the new CBS television show, Bull. This show portrays a fictional character,“Dr. Jason Bull,” inspired by Dr. Phil McGraw, nationally recognized TV personality “Dr. Phil,” author, and former jury consultant.
The speakers, experienced trial consultants and former ASTC Presidents Chris Dominic and Ken Broda-Bahm will compare the jury consulting practices in the show to the ASTC’s Ethical Principles, Professional Standards, and Practice Guidelines. In anticipation of considerable attention generated by this show about the field of trial consulting, the speakers will examine different ways of discussing the show with the public, legal community, and others about the field of jury consulting and the differences between fact and fiction. The webinar will include an excerpt from the show and time for Q&A and discussion with audience members about how “Hollywood” and reality differ. Current ASTC Board of Directors member Judy Rothschild will moderate the webinar.
